Love on top
The Harties Cableway is a popular choice for couples looking for a romantic getaway. In fact, the entire town of Hartbeespoort has been voted as one of the 10 most loved Valentine’s getaways by TravelGround.
It’s not hard to see why. The town offers an abundance of activities for couples, among them hot air ballooning, game viewing, watersports and, of course, the Harties Aerial Cableway.
We are preparing to meet a lot of couples this Valentine’s Day, and we have the following treats in store:
For R650, a couple can purchase two return tickets to the top, where they will be treated to canapés and sparkling wine, and live music between 4pm and 7pm. What better place to catch the sunset? Couples can also purchase picnic baskets for R400.
Hero's Cableway Grillhouse and Pizzeria has a Valentine’s Day dinner prepared for you for R225 per person. The menu is as follows:
- Starter: red grape Waldorf salad or a Valentine’s surf and turf
- Main course: Kingklip, beetroot puree, dauphinoise potatoes and mixed veg complemented with a saffron veloute; or chicken cordon bleu with a butternut and sweet melon summer salad with crispy bacon, complemented with a salsa verde; or a vegetarian option
- Dessert: homemade icecrem served with chocolate sauce
Shakespeare said that music is the food of love, but here at Harties, we know better: it’s the romantic view from the top, along with a special meal, that will melt your paramour’s heart!
